Plastic materials---AS, What is AS?

Full name of AS: Acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer, solid, transparent and yellow to amber, usually AS is also called AS resin.

Features: It has good thermoplasticity, is not easy to change color, and is harmless to the human body when the temperature is satisfied.

Disadvantages, poor temperature resistance, not as tough as PC.

When the ice-filled water is poured out and then boiled water is quickly filled, cracks will appear on the surface.

Because of its high transparency, AS makes the water bottle appear brighter when it is made.

At the same time, AS has high rigidity, so AS is resistant to oil, acid, alkali and alcohol.

AS materials have good safety at temperatures below 70°C and meet food-grade requirements, so they are used by more plastic water cup manufacturers. AS material is the same as PC, because its temperature resistance is between 85℃-105℃, so it is not suitable for large area pattern printing. At the same time, it is not suitable for laser engraving process due to its high transparency.
