As a company with professional mold processing and production for nearly 20 years, we often encounter customers asking what is "one out one"? What is "one cavity and two molds"?

First of all, the use of "one out of one" and "one out of two" mentioned here is aimed at the plastic processing industry in order to improve the production efficiency of products.

In plastic processing, the method of increasing the number of production at one time will be used, such as the injection molding of the lid of the water cup. If only one cup lid can be produced in one injection molding production process, if the production quantity is 1 million pieces, a stroke of the injection molding machine takes 40 seconds, so the entire production cycle cannot be completed in one year.

But after changing the number of units produced each time, the more units you increase, the more time you save. If it is changed to produce 4 products at the same time without a single itinerary, then it can be completed within 4 months.

This method is to change the structure of the mold itself, so that each time the product output becomes more. According to the size of the product, the difficulty of the production process and other characteristics, the current maximum can be 1 out of 300, that is to say, 300 products can be obtained at the end of each production.

"One out of one" corresponds to "one hole and one mold", "one out of two" corresponds to "one hole and two molds" and so on. However, with the increase in the number of holes, the processing difficulty of the mold increases correspondingly, the processing cycle is lengthened, and the material requirements are higher, so the more the number of holes, the better the cost of abrasive tools. For example, for the accessories in the same cup lid, the mold cost of "one out of one" is about 4765USD, but if it is changed to "one out of eight", the mold cost is about 44445USD.
