What is the difference between the ceramic paint process and the enamel process inside the stainless steel water cup?
As people use stainless steel cups to drink tea and coffee more and more daily, in order to ensure that the taste of tea and coffee does not change, in the processing of stainless steel cups, more and more ceramic paint and enamel processes are added to the interior. What is the difference between ceramic paint and enamel process?
The ceramic paint process is to spray the ceramic paint uniformly on the inner wall of the water cup through a spray gun and bake it stably at 170-180°C for 20-30 minutes. The result is smooth and non-sticky, high hardness and firmness. Ceramic paint is water-based paint, non-toxic and harmless. The commonly used colors are white, gray, and black and red.
The enamel process, also known as "enamel", is to apply a variety of materials to the inside of the cup, and then bake it at 500-600°C for more than 40 minutes. After cooling, the inner wall of the water cup is like being coated with a thick layer of "glaze", the texture is smoother and harder. The usual color is mainly white, and there are also modulated milky white and ivory white.
The ceramic paint process is relatively simple and fast, and the equipment requirements and site requirements are not very strict. Since the ceramic paint is baked at 180℃, the service life of the inner wall is not as long as the enamel process.
Long-term use at any time, once the adhesion life of the ceramic paint is exceeded, the ceramic paint on the inner wall of the stainless steel water cup will fall off by itself. The usual time is about 12-18 months after use.
The enamel process has strict requirements on equipment and site, long processing time and high processing conditions, which cause the cost of the enamel process to be higher than that of the ceramic paint process. However, due to the characteristics of the processing method, the inner wall of the stainless steel water cup processed by the enamel process will be very firm. Unless it encounters strong impacts, bumps, etc., the processed inner wall can be used for more than 10 years or even longer.
In addition to the above comparison, ceramic paint has requirements for the thickness of the paint, which is not easy to be too thick, but the enamel process can increase the thickness of the coating. In terms of food safety, with the advancement of science and technology, the raw materials used in the two processes have reached food grade and or globally recognized.
Dongguan Zhanyi Commodity Technology Co., Ltd. has both ceramic paint and enamel technology. According to customer requirements, market positioning and product structure needs, ceramic paint and enamel technology can be used for stainless steel water cups. In 2020, our company will produce more than 1.5 million stainless steel vacuum cups and stainless steel coffee cups using the above two spraying methods for global users.
